Born Earl Lowe in Kingston, Jamaica, he was rechristened "Little Roy" by the legendary Prince Buster, who he cut sides for alongside other revered JA producers such as Lloyd "Matador" Daley" and Herman Chin-Loy, as well as releases for his own Tafari imprint. In recent years he as gained attention for a surprising set of Nirvana covers entitled 'The Battle For Seattle'.
